Welcome to What Vegans Eat
First off, let me say a sincere thank you for visiting What Vegans Eat. This website was born from a fusion of passion towards vegan food and an observation that many people genuinely wonder “What do vegans eat?”
When I am asked this question, a flutter of mouth-watering images and recipes dart across my mind as my brain stumbles to convert them into a comprehensible response. “What do we eat? Everything! We eat everything non-vegans eat and more!” (My theory is that a vegan diet requires creativity for meal creation, and therefore vegan diets tend to be more diverse than non-vegan diets). We are a proud bunch, and we’re not afraid to show off our cashew cheesecakes and cauliflower buffalo wing pizzas.
Here at What Vegans Eat, we try to simplify this response. While this is a resource for vegans to find new products to try or get the low-down on quality items, it is also a site for non-vegans to discover a plethora of food that contains no animal products and to find out what to feed that vegan that is coming over for dinner. I must say, there are a lot of items, some surprising and others not, that are for vegans and non-vegans alike to enjoy.
What Vegans Eat also attempts to be allergy-sensitive and to list ingredients that are known common allergens. Therefore, What Vegans Eat is a resource for people who may or may not be vegan, but cannot consume dairy, soy, gluten, nuts, fish, egg, corn, and so on. We gratefully accept any suggestions for making What Vegans Eat a more allergy-sensitive space.
In addition to reviews, What Vegans Eat offers additional resources for vegans, information about veganism, and ultimately, a space where people can come and share their favourite products, tips, and tricks on living the vegan life.
