The first time I tried Dandies vegan marshmallows, I was in love. They were mini marshmallows, like the kind you would put in hot chocolate, which went well with my supply of larger Sweet and Sara vegan marshmallows. As of 2013, I have only been able to find large Dandies marshmallows, like the kind you roast over a campfire. Both kinds taste the same, and both are amazing. They are the closest marshmallows I have bought that compare to your standard gelatin marshmallow (incase you didn’t know, gelatin is an animal product in many gummy foods that is neither vegan nor vegetarian). I miss the smaller size because I would be able to eat more without feeling guilty. However, it is such a joy to bring a bag of large vegan Dandies to a bonfire with friends instead of gelatin marshmallows. All of my friends that are vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore love these marshmallows and gladly roast them over a fire. Dandies vegan marshmallows are one of those vegan products that takes a culturally significant item that was once lost to vegans for containing animal products, and gives back what was once forbidden. For that Dandies, I thank you.
